Ok, we're a little behind in posting our wedding favourites:) Trisha and Alfred were married in May and already we're right in the thick of a busy July full of more weddings and lots of family portrait sessions! We'll definitely have to pace ourselves and I'm hoping we'll get to post as many of our sessions on this blog as possible. Trisha and Alfred were married at the BrockHouse back in May. I know if they read this blog, they will be rolling their eyes in embarrassment when I tell you they kind of reminded me of the hit TV show "Grey's Anatomy":) Both work at the BC Children's Hospital where they met. I'm sure their relationship didn't have all the drama that happens on television thankfully!
Trisha and her family got ready at the Sutton Place Hotel before meeting Alfred and his best man for photos.
Fortunately for them, they chose one of the hottest May long weekends on record to get married. The weather was gorgeous!
There was definitely an Asian flare to their wedding from the Asian-inspired wedding cake to the chopsticks that were given away as wedding favours. One of my favourite moments from their day was when Alfred gave a very emotional speech and tribute to his parents. Doogie Houser, eat your heart out!
One of my favourite shots of the day was during their first dance. I had just recently seen an exhibit at the Vancouver Art Gallery called Truth and Beauty on pictorialism in the late nineteen & early twentieth centuries and it inspired me to take this photo.
