Well it wasn't pretty but I actually managed to hike up part of the Grouse Grind in ballerina slippers during an event for the Vancouver President's Organization. Some of Canada's very best CEO's did the Grouse Grind today as part of an excursion during their national conference. Although the weather didn't quite cooperate and we weren't rewarded with a beautiful view at the top, it did make for a nice cool hike in the ever so spectacular fog. And just so you know, I only hiked up a portion of the grind in my flats...just couldn't manage to do the whole thing in slippers carrying two camera bodies!!
