April is a beautiful month to get married. Spring is in bloom and you start to experience a warmth in the air...except this year!! For those of you who live in Vancouver, you'll know what I mean. We probably experienced one of the coldest seasons this past year in quite some time. In late March and even parts of April, we had snow to deal with! So when it came to photographing Selena and Carmen's wedding in early April, we really didn't know what to expect. We just prayed for decent weather and kept our fingers and toes crossed! Thankfully, we were blessed with some great weather that day. In fact, the weather was so nice that Selena and her bridesmaids walked the two blocks to the church from her mother's house!
Selena wore a beautiful Vera Wang gown from Something Blue. Carmen's family owns Kalena's Shoes so all the beautiful italian leather shoes worn that day were from their store.
The casual stroll down the block to St. Helen's parish. Love the energy ladies!
I loved the intimate moments we captured with this sweet couple!
Reception: Fairmont Waterfront Hotel
Cake: True Confections
OK..for those professional photographers out there reading this blog and contemplating investing in the new Nikon D3 camera ...contemplate no more! This camera is BRILLIANT and works magic, especially in high ISO settings (the images on your left were all shot using available light on the D3 - truly clean images.
We had such a great time with this couple who kept us so entertained throughout the day with their great personality and sense of humour. THANK YOU Selena & Carmen for being such amazing people! Now we're just hoping for some warmer weather soon...I'm hoping that Selena & Carmen will bring some back with them from their honeymoon!
