Sometimes, small and intimate is exactly what we need:) We were smitten to hear that our friend Glen who we met a few years back at his sisters wedding was going to have a small intimate wedding with just family and the closest of friends this past November. Glen & Lynn had mentioned how they loved seeing some photos we had photographed at the Vancouver Art Gallery on our website so we arranged to have their engagement photos in the beautiful rotunda of the museum.
We were so ever thankful to have had two very beautiful indoor options for our engagement session on a day when we were completely washed out from the rain! After a very wet Fall season, we were all very relieved to have some indoor options to stay dry in:)
And when you don't have an extra pair of hands, why not ask Glen, a photo enthusiast to help hold your reflector:)
We also want to thank Nightingale Restaurant for the exceptional service we received. Thank you for allowing us to take some photos in your beautiful restaurant. We enjoyed the food & drinks immensely!
Wedding Day festivities were held at the beautiful L'Abbatoir Restaurant in Gastown. By now I'm sure those reading this post will start seeing the pattern of great food as both restaurant establishments are some of the very best in the city:)
Before the ceremony, we took Lynn & Glen around Gastown and inside the restaurant for some photos. We absolutley LOVE shooting in Gastown after a bit of rain. There's so much texture and detail reflected from the streets, which paired so well with the beautiful tile and brick accents inside the restaurant:)
Love the pretty cake? We sure did, especially knowing it was made by Glen's sister, Christine of Confections by Christine. Little Grayson, Glen's adorable little nephew, striking his cute little smirk in front of the beautiful floral wall, which provided as a backdrop for their ceremony. Florals by Balconi.
Sometimes all you need is good food and great company to have an amazing wedding:) Congratulations to these two incredible souls I have the privilege of calling friends:)
