Summer is in full swing here in Vancouver and we realized we've been a bit delinquent with our blog updates, particularly the promise of Part II of our Neighbours theme. So without further adieu, here is Part II of our Neighbours Blog Post. Last post featuring Rick & Jemmy's wedding, which was the neighbourly connection between myself and my next door neighbour Rick. In Part II of our Neighbours blog post, we get the honour of featuring the wedding of Winnie & Ken, a couple who also has a neighbourly connection. You see, Ken & Winnie were actually next door neighbours and that is exactly how they met:) This couple, full of life & hope was such a joy and pleasure to work with. We couldn't have been happier for them and their families and to celebrate this wonderful day with them. Thanks to the amazing team at Wedding Design Studio, who yet again, managed to do an incredible job of not just the floral arrangements but truly transforming the Stanley Park Tea House into a stunning location to celebrate both the ceremony & reception.Winnie wore a stunning gown from Vera Wang. Hair & Make-up from the uber talented Margaret Lai Hair & Make Up.
This beautiful archway created by the WDS team was just perfect for the small wedding with close family & friends, held inside the Stanley Park Teahouse. When I heard the floral arrangements had a bright pink accent color, I was thinking a more tropical floral. But to my surprise I was welcomed with a very different look than expected. The floral arrangements were perfectly suited for the decor of the restaurant. As you can tell, we had a lot of fun shooting all the gorgeous decor:) We also had the honour of photographing Miss Hong Kong 2013, Grace Chan, who was a guest at the wedding and a close friend of Winnie's daughter. And yes, she does look this beautiful in person too:)We had many favourite images from the day, but I have to say this one has to be one of my all time favourites. LOVE these fleeting moments! What an amazing experience to see these two celebrating life and love together and we are just thrilled we had the opportunity to share it with them!
